Paula Bindert

CPA

Wealth Advisor – Tax Consultant

Hometown: Parker, SD
Education: Northwestern College

After growing up on my family’s farm in Parker and spending a four-year stint at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, to earn my accounting and business administration degrees, I landed in Sioux Falls and began a 27-year career as a public accountant.

For 10 of those years, I also owned a tax and accounting firm in Canton, SD. In 2021, I sold my firm, retired from public accounting, and embarked on a new career journey as a Wealth Advisor with First National Wealth Management.

Now, as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of the South Dakota CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, I look forward to using my tax knowledge and expertise to help you build a comprehensive financial plan with a tax perspective.

Outside of financial planning, my favorite way to help people is volunteering at The Banquet, Compassion International, and my church.

My husband, Shane, and I have been married for nearly 30 years, and we raised our three children, Isaac, Becca, and Elizabeth here in Sioux Falls.

You can find us going for walks, hiking, bicycling, and kayaking together, or you might find me spending some alone time reading — my all-time favorite book is, unashamedly, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.
