Since I started in banking as a part-time teller more than 15 years ago, I’ve held a variety of roles ranging from loan administrator to ag lender to, currently, Chief Credit Officer. I’ve also completed the Southwest Graduate School of Banking program in Dallas, TX.
The pivotal moment in my career came in 2013 when my brother, who worked at FNB, recruited me to be an Ag Banker.
Working for a community-driven bank that cares about its customers and communities was always my ultimate goal, and I’ve gained so much in my years at First National — including meeting my wife, Sally, and the customers and co-workers who have become some of my closest friends.
That’s why my favorite FIRST Value is Family! In my opinion, it encompasses all other FIRST Values: as a family, we push each other to innovate and grow, build and strengthen relationships, be good stewards for our communities, and work as a team.
Outside of work, you can find me playing sports; traveling to a different state each year with Sally; raising our kids, Waylon, Halley, and Wilson; and volunteering at The Banquet, Rake the Town, the Sioux Empire Livestock Show, and St. Mary’s Carnival Committee.
Even though I’m an Augie grad, the farm kid in me is also an adopted SDSU fan and season ticketholder for Jackrabbits football.
