Christopher Ekstrum

President and Chief Executive Officer

Chris is FNB’s President and CEO. A native of Philip, SD, he received his undergraduate degree from USD and attended Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.

Chris began his career with FNB in 1993, and grew within the organization. He transitioned from a personal banker to a business banker, to FNB’s business banking manager, then to chief banking officer before being selected as Bill Baker’s successor.

“Back when I was a banker, my favorite part was helping people realize their dreams, helping their businesses succeed. Today, I just like seeing the impact we have on our community.”

When he’s not leading FNB, he loves volunteering with Sioux Falls Cares, and doing anything that ends in –ing (running, skiing, hunting, and golfing).
