Tell us about your background. Where you grew up, where you went to school, industry experience, your family, and volunteer work.
I grew up in Owatonna, Minnesota. I attended St. Cloud State for two years and then finished my Bachelor’s degree at Minnesota State – Mankato. I have been in banking now for about seven years and have worked in retail and corporate credit cards.
There are four of us in my family (my parents, me, and my brother). My fiancé and I moved to Sioux Falls in September 2020 from Minneapolis and will be getting married this October!
When I was living in Mankato, I participated in the local backpack program and really enjoyed that. I also attended the Junior Achievement “Big Bowl” for 2-3 years with my previous institution.
Q: What is your role at FNB? What does your day-to-day work look like?
My current role is in Customer Service at the Downtown location. In a given day, I am assisting customers with their account balance inquiries, check orders, debit card questions/issues, account transfers, etc.
Q: What is your favorite thing about FNB?
My favorite thing about FNB is the people and the culture. When I started applying for new jobs here in Sioux Falls, I was focused on finding a smaller/more focused community bank that resembled the previous bank I worked at. FNB has great core values and I continue to hear great things from our customers. I enjoy the group of people I work with every day here in CS, and I always feel supported in my role. No matter who I work with, I always have a great experience across the company!
Q: What are you most passionate about?
I would say I am most passionate about helping people and going out of my way for others. I have always tried to be the person or friend that was always available and willing to help out when needed. I like to make people feel good about themselves and do my best to treat them the way I would want to be treated.
Q: If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be and why?
I think it would be fun to go back to the ‘80s! I enjoy the music, the fashion, and would be interested to see how life was without all the technology we have today.
Q: If you had $500 to spend at any local business, where or what would you spend it on?
Unfortunately, being relatively new to the area, I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to get around Sioux Falls and check out the local businesses. So far, I have been able to get to Oh My Cupcakes, Coffea, and some local boutiques and restaurants.
