FNB Family Friday

Bryant Henderson

Bryant was born and raised in Pipestone, MN, and attended the University of North Dakota, where he earned a degree in investments. After college, he moved to the Twin Cities and worked in retail management. In 2013, he moved back to Sioux Falls to open The Vitamin Shoppe, which he managed until beginning his career at FNB in 2019. His wife, Alicia, is a nurse and they have two kids, two dogs, and a cat. During his time at FNB he’s enjoyed volunteering with Special Olympics of South Dakota and Rake the Town.

Q: What is your role at FNB? What does your day-to-day work look like?

As a Wealth Advisor, every day is little different, which keeps things fun and interesting. If I am not administering my portfolio of accounts or answering client questions, I am usually meeting with prospective clients to discuss how we can help them reach their financial goals, or working with current clients to make sure we are on track to accomplish their goals.

Q: What’s the best memory or experience you’ve had at FNB?

I’ve had so many great memories since I began working here that it would be hard to choose one as the best. But I would say some of the most rewarding experiences are when clients thank us for getting them out of less than ideal situations and for finding solutions that put them on a better path toward reaching their financial goals.

Q: If you could switch jobs with anyone at the Bank, who would it be and why?

Our Investments Manager, Kyle Cipperley, because he has the best office view in my opinion. All jokes aside, I actually would switch jobs with any member of our Investments team, not for the office, but because I find it fascinating to learn about all of the data and reports they look at to choose the best possible investments for our clients.

Q: What’s your favorite motto or quote?

“We live life forward, but we learn it backwards.”

“You can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

Q: What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?

One of my favorite hobbies is bodybuilding and I have actually participated in two bodybuilding competitions within the last few years.

Q: If you had $500 to spend at any local business, where or what would you spend it on?

Scheels. I could easily spend that much money throughout the store, but I would make sure to save a little to eat at HuHot afterward.
