Each week we’ll be showing you who we are through FNB Family Fridays! We’ve asked our friends and teammates questions that will give you a look into what they do at the Bank, their hobbies outside of work, and some of their favorite things. Be sure to check back here every Friday to read about another featured team member. We have some interesting people we work with every day!
Our featured employee this week is Ashley Hoffman, a personal banker at our Brandon Branch!
Q: Tell us about your background. Where you grew up, where you went to school, industry experience, and volunteer work (if applicable).
I was born and raised in Brandon, SD, and am still living here with my husband, Chase, our daughter, Finley, our new puppy, Kola, and our cat, Meeko. Chase is a mortgage lender at the Western Mall Branch. I am the middle of three girls born to my parents and we all live in Brandon with our families. I graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 2007 and from South Dakota State University in 2011. For the past five years, I worked at a title company in Sioux Falls and gained an incredible amount of knowledge in the real estate and financial sectors. My current volunteering is on hold due to COVID-19, but when I am able to, I volunteer at my church, Celebrate, in Brandon. In the interim, Chase and I have opened our home to host a church service to all wanting to attend!
Q: What is your role at FNB? What does your day-to-day work look like?
I am a Personal Banker in Brandon and started June 2020. I am still getting my feet wet with my day-to-day schedule. I am hopeful to begin cultivating relationships with my clients in the Brandon area and helping them with their financial needs and goals.
Q: What do you like most about working at FNB?
I love what FNB stands for and the morals and ethics behind the company. I share the same values and look to live my life guided by high moral standards and put faith and family first. The culture at FNB is warm and inviting and the team atmosphere is extremely motivating! I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the FNB Family!
Q: How would you describe the culture of FNB to a prospective employee?
FNB cares about its employees’ health and balance and that is very rare amongst employers. The culture here is about helping everyone thrive at what they do best and providing a helpful hand to support individual growth.
Q: When you’re not working at the Bank, what can people find you doing? What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I love to spend time with family, whether it’s immediate or extended family! I enjoy kayaking, walking, a little hiking, and the occasional round of golf. I also have been an avid bowler for over 15 years.
Q: Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
The best place I have traveled to is Zion National Park in Utah. The park is so serene and peaceful. There is such an appreciation for God’s creation. There are so many hikes and trails to explore! I can’t wait to bring our daughter out there for her to experience the beauty!
