Each week we’ll be showing you who we are through FNB Family Fridays! We’ve asked our friends and teammates questions that will give you a look into what they do at the Bank, their hobbies outside of work, and some of their favorite things. Be sure to check back here every Friday to read about another featured team member. We have some interesting people we work with every day!
Our featured employee this week is Abby Utech, an Ag Banking Administrative Assistant at our Louise Branch!
Q: Tell us about your background. Where you grew up, where you went to school, industry experience, and volunteer work (if applicable).
A: I grew up in Dell Rapids, SD. I have been with FNB for the last four years. I started as a teller in Dell Rapids and then moved to my current role as an Ag Administrative Assistant at our Louise Branch. I enjoy volunteering at Dakotafest, The Sioux Empire Livestock Show, and I’m a participant in a Walk to End Epilepsy as well as the Avera Race Against Cancer.
Q: What is your role at FNB?
A: As an Ag Administrative Assistant, my role is to help our ag lenders provide the best possible experience to our ag banking customers.
Q: What have you gained from working at FNB?
A: Through working at FNB I have learned the importance and value of relationships with both customers and coworkers. I have had the opportunity to work with and get to know some of our area’s producers, all while collaborating with our ag team.
Q: What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with FNB?
A: In the next 10 years I hope to keep learning and growing in my career. I love being a part of the ag community and being involved with our farmers, learning about all they do to provide for the industry.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: I enjoy playing golf, softball, and have recently become a fan of camping and backpacking. I also love to spend time with my family and friends.
Q: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
A: Anna Kendrick – I admire her sense of humor and the way she presents herself, plus, she’s had some great roles in her career and seems to love and excel at her craft.
