Buying a Home

Step 1 - Complete an Application
The application will ask you questions about your income, assets, liabilities, and the home. Once you have gathered your financial information using our Mortgage Application Checklist, it will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. After we have received your application, we will process it and contact you with any questions. At that time, we will also advise your realtor how to contact us and where to send the purchase agreement.
Step 2 - Order an Appraisal and Title Insurance
We will order an appraisal and title insurance for the home you are buying. A licensed appraiser, who is familiar with home values in the area, will need to view the home. We will work with your realtor to order title insurance to confirm the legal description and verify the property is free and clear of liens and judgments.
Step 3 - Order a Survey
We will order a survey to show any encroachments or easements related to the property.
Step 4 - Schedule the Closing
We will contact you to coordinate a closing time after we have received your application, required documents, appraisal, title work, and survey. Prior to closing, we will advise you of the final amount due at closing and answer any questions. All closings take place at a title company.
